Twin Cities Opera Guild has excelled at introducing students to opera and quality music since 1952. We are dedicated to cultivating music education and outreach, both in the schools and for the general public. As an all-volunteer non-profit organization, we rely on our members and friends to help us fund our grants for music education.
From TCOG’s President, Colleen Nelson: Fun Times Ahead
Up Next in the North Loop: Our First Cocktail Collaboration. We are so excited to be featuring MN Opera’s Resident Artists for the 2025-2026 season in our very first “cocktail collaboration.” Please join us on September 12 in the Luminary Arts Center’s elegantly rustic performance space in Minneapolis’ North Loop for what promises to be a special and casual evening. Tickets are $50 ($35 for age 45 and younger) for pre-concert bites and the performance. Beverages are extra and $5 parking is conveniently located right across the street. Registration is available under the “Events” link on this page and preferred by September 8. Please join us.
After that: We celebrate fall and fundraising for opera education for the young with our annual Candlelight Dinner on October 18 at the beautiful Town & Country Club in St. Paul. Please save the date and put it on your calendar. Registration will be available later this summer.
Reminder about our Events and Membership: Everyone is welcome and invited to attend our events, regardless of membership in TCOG. As always, though, we invite all to become members of TCOG and help bring music education and performance to students. With the goal of being more accessible to younger people, we now offer a $25 membership category for people who are under age 40. Check it out on the “Join/Renew” link on this page. We also offer a “first year is free” membership to new attendees at our events.
As Always: Our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us for our annual Party in Pink on July 15, which was especially lively this year. The enthusiastic crowd enjoyed beautiful summertime food, pink cocktails, and a stellar performance by Jenna Kreider, Tony Potts and Andrew Sun. Photos of the Party are viewable in the “Past Events” link on this page.
